Restaurant Partner Privacy Policy

This policy explains what business information we collect from Restaurant Partners, why we collect it, and how we use it. It covers the Partner portal at bringitback.nyc/partner and your participation in the BringItBack Reuse System. It is separate from our member Privacy Policy, which covers people who claim containers.

The information here is mostly business information, about your restaurant and the people who operate its BringItBack account, not consumer data. We collect only what we need to run the partnership.

What we collect

To set up and operate your partnership, we collect:

We do not collect payment card numbers or bank details through the portal, and we do not ask for them there.

How we use it

We use your information only to operate the partnership: to fulfill and reconcile deliveries and pickups, to keep your container inventory and status accurate, to coordinate with you about operations, to send account and service notices to the email or phone you provide, to feature your restaurant in our public partner directory (see below), and to keep the program secure and honest. We do not use Partner information for advertising or marketing unrelated to the program.

What's public

If your restaurant participates, we may list it in our public partner directory at bringitback.eco/eat and in program materials, showing your business name, address, neighborhood, and public social links so customers can find you. This is public business information. We never publish your private contact details, portal link, order history, or messages. If you'd rather not be listed publicly, tell us and we'll remove your listing while keeping your partnership active.

How we share it

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising or marketing. We share it only with the service providers that make the program run, for example, our hosting and database provider, and our messaging/email provider, and only so they can perform those services for us. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and integrity of the program. Aggregate, de-identified impact numbers (such as total containers circulated) may be shared publicly, but they don't identify your business.

Keeping it safe

You sign in to your portal with an 8-digit one-time passcode sent to your email, and a private access link keeps you signed in on your device. Keep your login code private, don't share it outside your business, and tell us if you think someone has accessed your portal without authorization so we can help secure it. We restrict internal access to Partner data to the BringItBack team members who need it to run the program.

How long we keep it

We keep Partner and operational data for as long as your business participates in the program and for a reasonable period afterward to close out accounts, reconcile containers, and meet our record-keeping needs. When you leave the program, you can ask us to remove your public listing and contact details; some operational records (such as container counts) may be retained in de-identified form for inventory and impact integrity.

Your choices

You can ask us to review, correct, or update your business and contact information at any time, opt out of the public directory, or request a new portal link. To make any of these requests, contact us at partners@bringitback.nyc.
